Helloween es un grupo alemán de Power metal originarios de Hamburgo, fundada en el año 1978 con su primer nombre de Gentry, cambiando a Helloween en 1983 por Kai Hansen y Piet Sielck. Se le considera padre del Power metal, sin embargo, bandas anteriores realizaron temas considerados como los primeros del género como Rainbow con el tema Stargazer o Queen con el tema The Prophet's Song; aun así Helloween es considerado como un precursor importante del género.
