Carl started studying
music at the age of 15, taking private vocal lessons whilst playing and
performing with his first garage band. At the age of 16, he immersed
himself on a 3 year long Classical Music Diploma, obtaining a vast
knowledge of composition and harmonization, as well as developing his
vocal technique, singing in the local choir for 2 years and taking
private lessons on weekly basis.
After graduating Carl formed his first professional band, Scelerata, recording his first worldwide release at the age of 22. Darkness and Light (Produced by Scelerata, Mastered by Dennis Ward), the bands first album, was released via Mtm/Spv (Europe), Spiritual Beast/Universal (Japan/Asia), Nightmare Recs/Universal (USA & Canada) and Voice Music (Brasil), and was acclaimed natiowide, being voted by the Rock Brigade readers, 3rd best album of 2006, behind only Sepultura and Angra, the 2 biggest Metal icons in Brazil.
At the same period, Carl started to work alongside Angra's and Shaman's Management at the time, booking shows for both bands in the South of Brasil. Responsible for booking and Tour Managing entire Workshop Tour's for the likes of Kiko Loureiro, Roy Z, Rafael Bittencourt & Aquiles Priester.
